Glen Appelbaum worked for 8 years as a stockbroker before purchasing a Belliure Endurance 50. He then began sailing from Cape Town to the Caribbean, Brazil and Venezuela. After cruising the Eastern Caribbean and US east coast, he made Charleston his homeport in 1999. He is currently very active in Charleston Ocean Racing Association events. A US Coast Guard Licensed Captain, with thousands of offshore miles and extensive cruising experience, Glen enjoys talking with people and is happiest messing about in boats.
